Membership
Membership
Membership is open to boys ages 5 to 17, who agree to the Trail Life USA Membership Standards, Core Values, Statement of Faith, and Christian World View . Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their son’s program, and to become Registered Adults so they can provide support for their son(s) and Troop when needed.
Note: Membership in Trail Life USA Troop WI-1201 does not require being Christian. However, all members are expected to respect and uphold the Christian values that guide our troop’s mission and activities at Camp Victory in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Our local troop follows the Kenosha Unified School District year running from September to June, and we welcome new members throughout the year. Meetings are every other Friday 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Camp Victory.
An Annual Open House in August assists prospective and existing members with information and administrative needs. Prospective members are encouraged to visit a Friday meeting before deciding whether to join our troop and should make a decision to join by their 3rd meeting.
Note: Prospective members must first begin the membership process by connecting with troop leaders (Begin Membership). Parents will then receive an invitation to join the troops management website and from there be able to add son(s) to the troop roster and pay the National Registration Fee.
Annual Troop Dues: Annual troop dues are $100 per member for all Trailmen. Payments can be made at meetings via cash, check, or online with Tithely.
Note: Checks must be made out to "Victory Baptist Church" and have "OBO (on behalf of) Trail Life" written in the memo.
Annual National Registration Fee: Approx. $45. Paid through Trail Life Connect.
Purchase of Troop Uniform (Required): Class A-shirt, tri-color hat, patrol specific shoulder loops, lanyard, and handbook. All items can be purchased from Trail Life USA Shop. Pants / Jeans / Shorts, free of rips and holes should be worn with the uniform along with closed toe shoes.
Note: Optional but encouraged Trail Uniform (patrol T-shirt / hat). For muddy, wet, and hot days.
Campouts & Special Activity Fees: due no later than 24hr before event. (Usually small to help offset food, travel, and admissions)

Donations and scholarship sponsors are graciously welcome. We desire to make membership available to any boy regardless of their financial means. If cost is a barrier to participation, please inquire about scholarships and other opportunities that may be available.
